Events
PiP events, including webinars, seminars and workshops, are opportunities for prevention practitioners to come together and hear from guest experts, share ideas and discuss their work.
The Prevention in Practice Online Network
This is a virtual space for practitioners to engage with others across the sector. This online network provides opportunities to share resources, troubleshoot practice challenges and promote upcoming events. The Network currently hosts 400 practitioners, working across a range of settings and programs.

PreventX
PreventX is our biannual national primary prevention conference. The event has been running successfully for several years, bringing prevention practitioners together to connect, share and learn to meet the biggest challenges facing the sector. Following the success of PreventX: What’s Next? in 2022, the conference will next fall in 2024.
Training and capability building
Safe and Equal provides a suite of professional development opportunities and training for practitioners working in primary prevention and respectful relationships education to build their knowledge and skills. These offerings support practitioners at all stages of their careers.

We create and share practice guidance resources to support practitioners to develop an evidence-based understanding of primary prevention and respectful relationships education, and build their capacity to implement this knowledge into their work. Primary Prevention Help Desk

Prevention Practitioners
‘Driving Change’ focuses on positive, practical solutions to take actions against the gendered drivers while keeping a focus on the change we want to see.
‘Fast Facts’ provides an overview of statistics and key facts related to experiences and impacts of family and gender-based violence, and changing social attitudes towards these.
‘Intersectionality in primary prevention’ builds on Safe and Equal’s commitment to intersectionality and aims to draw on existing knowledge and experience in applying an intersectional analysis and approach to the prevention of family and gender-based violence.
‘How to Use Statistics in Primary Prevention’ aims to support a greater understanding of the importance, uses and limitations of statistics within the context of primary prevention and family violence.

Small steps: Bystander action for equality
This new 4-hour bystander action course builds participants’ knowledge, skills, and confidence to be active bystanders and safely and effectively challenge the harmful attitudes that drive violence against women in their personal and professional lives.

Unpacking Resistance (Virtual)
If you work in gender equality or primary prevention of violence against women then you’ve most likely experienced backlash and resistance. Our training will give you the confidence to respond to resistance when it arises.
