The PreventX 2026 conference, Stories for Change, explored how storytelling can drive meaningful and sustained change to prevent family and gender-based violence. Bringing together practitioners from across the country, the conference highlighted the role of ethical, community-led and culturally responsive storytelling in primary prevention.
This resource draws on insights shared throughout the conference, synthesising key learnings and practical tips to support practitioners to thoughtfully gather, frame and share stories that strengthen practice, shift narratives, and contribute to long-term systems change.
