This training provides a comprehensive overview to organisations who are leading this model in their workplace, to start conversations with staff and leadership teams, and identify best practice approaches for leading change across their organisation.
Workplace Equality and Respect Training is available to workplaces and organisations.

We are accredited to deliver the Our Watch best practice Workplace Equality and Respect (WER) training package. This training provides a comprehensive overview organisations who are leading this model in their workplace.
 
This training outlines key content areas:
  • How gender inequality drives violence against women
  • The role workplaces have in preventing violence and
  • How promoting gender equality is good for your workplace.

WER training will support organisations who are working to embed gender equality into their workplace through the Workplace Equality and Respect Standards. Organisations working towards the Workplace Equality and Respect Standards will benefit from provide training to staff to engage them in the equality and respect process.
 
Training Modules
This training comprises four (4) training sessions , with each session tailored to different staff across the organisation:
Session 1 - Implementation Team (5 hours) to introduce the Workplace Equality and Respect standards, process and tools and support them to implement it in their own workplace.
Session 2 - Executive and senior leaders (3 hours) to ensure they understand workplace prevention of violence against women and provide support and resourcing for the work.
Session 3 - Managers (4 hours) to support them to recognise the powerful role they play in influencing workplace culture and see how they can actively support gender equality.
Session 4 - All staff (2.5 hours) to introduce the drivers of violence against women and the concept of bystander action.

Organisations with a commitment to work towards the Workplace Equality and Respect Standards

We offer Workplace Equality and Respect Training for staff across all levels of the workplace - including executives, managers and team members. In these sessions staff will have the opportunity to understand the role of workplaces in addressing gender inequality and provide a space to ask questions and to get involved.
