Experience and qualifications check

Eligibility to be considered for specialist family violence practitioner roles

down arrow

This tool allows you to check whether you are eligible to be considered for specialist family violence practitioner roles.

The first section asks questions about your experience to determine whether you are an exempt practitioner or have a pathway to be able to work and study towards an equivalent qualification. The second section checks whether your qualifications have been mapped by an educational institution against the equivalency principles and listed in the qualifications mapping document released in October 2021. If they have, the tool will identify if those qualifications meet the mandatory minimum qualification, are equivalent qualifications, or are related qualifications that will allow you to work and study towards an equivalent qualification. If you have a qualification that isn’t listed, it just means that the educational institution hasn’t undertaken a mapping assessment so you will need to manually map your qualification.

Please note that this tool is intended to provide guidance only. The employer will always make the final determination as to whether a pathway is open to applicants and whether they have related/equivalent qualifications. This tool only relates to the mandatory minimum qualifications and employers are entitled to require candidates to have higher level qualifications if they wish.
