DETAILS

In partnership with the Zoe Belle Gender Collective, Safe and Equal are proud to introduce the first resource of the series, the “Risk in Context – Trans & Gender Diverse Communities Practice Guide”.
The Risk in Context series supports practitioners to apply an intersectional lens when undertaking MARAM risk assessment, recognising that evidence-based risk factors may present or be experienced differently across diverse communities.

This guide centres the lived experience of trans and gender diverse (TGD) victim survivors; providing practitioners with insights, research and guiding practice questions to deepen understanding, enhance their practice, and strengthen the service response received by the TGD community.

With guest panellists Starlady (Zoe Belle Gender Collective), Gus (Thorne Harbour Health), Shei (Rainbow Door) and Ellen (Safe and Equal), we invite you to join the live webinar on Tuesday 12th of May to learn more about the guide and how it can be integrated into your practice.

Safe and Equal and Zoe Belle Gender Collective would like to thank the following organisations for their invaluable contributions to the development of the resource: Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS), FVREE, Drummond Street Services, Rainbow Health Australia, Thorne Harbour Health, and Switchboard Victoria.

This webinar will be recorded and made available after the event to everyone registered.

Who is this for?

The guide is designed for practitioners working at the Intermediate and Comprehensive MARAM responsibility levels. It assists those conducting risk assessments, safety planning, case management, and service responses for trans and gender diverse (TGD) people experiencing family violence.
