Learning Outcomes:
- Develop an understanding of MARAM practice guidance relevant to predominant aggressor identification and misidentification including key practice concepts and definitions
- Develop an understanding of factors that contribute to misidentification (e.g. systems abuse, bias, person using family violence narratives and behaviours) and who is more likely to be misidentified
- Demonstrate the ability to apply relevant MARAM practice guidance to effectively undertake a Predominant Aggressor assessment and document using the Predominant Aggressor Identification Template
- Develop skills to rectify the impact of misidentification on victim survivors including correcting records, advocacy, proactive information sharing and coordinated and collaborative risk management
- Access to a laptop or desktop computer with headphones/speakers and ideally with a camera.
- Reliable internet connection.
- Zoom downloaded onto your computer‚ you can download here.
- Google Chrome as your web browser, or Safari for MAC users.
- Access to your email - you will receive an email invitation to Canvas, the training platform used to deliver the training.
- Headphones/headset/speakers so that you can hear the presentation.
Please log in to Canvas and ensure you make a note of your login details as soon as you receive your email invitation. We recommend noting your training times along with the Canvas URL and your login details in your calendar.
Please note that sessions will not be recorded/made available outside of the session times.
Prerequisites:
This training is for specialist family violence victim survivor practitioners with comprehensive responsibilities, and who have completed the pre-requisite comprehensive risk assessment and management training.

Who is this for?
Details
- You must attend the whole session of training in order to receive a certificate. We will only issue certificates to participants who have attended the whole training.
- If you do not attend the full training, you will need to contact training@safeandequal.org.au
