Learning Outcomes:
- To understand the purpose and function of writing case notes
- to document information in a way that keeps the adult using family violence in view and accountable
- To understand the principles of how to write case notes with a family violence lens
- To document family violence risk, information sharing and responses to victim/survivors
- To understand the concept of legal professional privilege in the context of case noting practices and sharing information to third parties
- To be familiar with what subpoenas are, and how to respond to them, including what objections look like
- To be able to explain the Australian and Victorian court structure
- To understand the process and responsibilities of appearing as a witness
