As an Instructional Designer, Amie creates accessible, learner-centred learning experiences that help people engage with complex and sensitive topics in meaningful ways. They work closely with member organisations and subject matter experts to create programs that build understanding, support reflection and strengthen practice across the family violence prevention and response sector.
Before joining Safe and Equal, Amie worked across the higher education and technology sectors, including roles with the University of Melbourne, Apple and Swinburne Online. They bring a strong interest in universal design for learning and visual storytelling, informed by studies in learning design, sociology, gender studies and counselling.

As a queer and gender-diverse person, I care deeply about creating a world where everyone is safe, respected and able to thrive. I am passionate about challenging inequality and contributing to positive social change so that all people can live free from violence and be themselves without fear.
